Watts Atelier Student Testimonials
CCP has provided me with a lot of helpful information regarding schools, applying to schools, and how to stay motivated while in school. I have learned everything I know about college through CCP. But with the help of Dr. Stewart I will now be attending a 4 year university in the fall! Then they showed me plenty of colleges I will do well in and benefit from.
It has helped me become more organized and meet deadlines. This is a stressful procedure, and I am so lucky and grateful that I had a mentor that could calm me down and work with me to accomplish everything. This program has certainly given me confidence in myself and has introduced me to new things that I really appreciate. I do not know where I would be without this great program! I did not have to pay as much for all of my applications and the materials that I needed to apply to colleges.
This program also helped me to decide what I want to major in when I go off to college, as well as what career I am going to pursue…I am really fortunate that I had the opportunity to be apart of the College and Career Pathways Program. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to be successful! I came in knowing what my goals [were], but had no idea how to reach them, and now I can say I am in the process of accomplishing some of them. She did most of the work for us; such as finding us scholarships, which was a major help.
Thank you!!! It really helped me my senior year, and without it, everything else would [have] been really hard! It has also given me a broader outlook on education and how important it is.
I really am thankful for this program.Hello my name is Terrance. I am a first generation college student. I grew up on the Avenue section of Ventura. Since I was a kid, I have always wanted to be a musician. I decided the best way to achieve this goal was to go to college. I chose Ventura College because I felt that it would give me the best opportunity to transfer to a 4yr University. I am currently finishing my second semester at Ventura College as a Music major.
Both universities have excellent music programs that would be beneficial to my overall growth. I joined FYE after reading about the program in a student newsletter. The program seemed good on the surface and I figured there really wouldn't be anything to loose and a lot to gain from a program like this. They offered to check in with students to make sure they are on track with their goals, peer networking, activities and so much more. However, what I have found to be the most helpful is the endless amount of information they give that helps a student navigate their way through college.
As first generation college student, this was the jewel of the program. I would definitely encourage a student who is considering joining the FYE program to join. This program can offer things that a normal student wouldn't even know they need. I feel that I am ahead of my peers by joining this program.
I believe that a program like this should be a requirement rather than an option. FYE has helped me get to know VC. I have learned about financial assistance, tutoring and creating my educational plan for transfer. I grew up in Ventura County attending several local High Schools. Those days were pretty traumatic for a kid trying to figure herself out, who she is and where she belongs. My last job was working in politics for a lobbyist group, but due to health issues I was forced to leave the company.
The driving force behind my returning to school after 22 years in the work force was money. While I was still employed by the lobbyist group, a women was hired to manage over my position. She worked half my hours and made three times my pay since she had a B. I joined FYE after my group counselor made the suggestion during the first on-campus orientation. Understanding there were limited spaces and I was occupying one of them forced me to get out of bed.
One week before the fall semester started, I knew all the student services available, their locations and the heads of each department. Additionally, I walked away with a group of people I could call friends, making the prospects of school less intimidating.Read Angelica's Story.

So, with the coursework of a Medical Assistant student at UMA, I've been confronted with the challenges of phlebotomy skills, front office skills, balancing checkbooks, and doing accountant work. I am very happy that I decided to attend UMA because t What inspired me to go back to school is I really wanted to get into the medical field. I really love what they do; I want to help people and I want something I can be proud of.
My experience as a UMA student, it's been very hands-on very thorough. So once I got to know everything about it I gave it a go The next Medical Assistant class starts in:. Seriously, this is the course to take if you are willing to work to improve your writing.
Joshua teaches this with humor and insight, and I am grateful that the course materials remain available after the course ends. I gained much more from the course than I anticipated—and I had high expectations—and I can hardly wait for the Stories course to begin.
In just four short weeks, I learned techniques that I will use over a lifetime to improve my writing. This course is great for anyone.
I highly recommend it. Joshua made a new life for himself out of providing incredible value on his blog. He provided the same incredible value to me as a student of his writing class. Seize the opportunity.
My writing improved dramatically over the last month. I would recommend it to anyone serious about cleaning up their act, both in writing and in thought. He inspired us to work hard.
After four grueling and exhilarating weeks, his students are better writers and quite possibly better people. His passion for the written word showed throughout the course, and each week was packed with pivotal lessons. This class added immense value to my life. Four weeks, lots of hard work, and a writing habit established. That spells success to me. Joshua delivers the content of this course in a way that sets you up to succeed—as long as you put in the work.
He is inspiring, he knows how to teach, he knows his subject, and he cares about the success of his students. I finished this class more than pleased with the results. There is no quick fix, no secret, no shortcut to success. There are plenty of nuggets of wisdom from Joshua throughout the class, but what I find most valuable is the profound sense of empowerment, knowing that we have already had everything we need to succeed, and that all it takes is the willingness to work hard and take consistent daily effort.
I can start right where I am today. I love his writing because when I read his work I feel no gaps, no distance, no buffering. Just elegant and direct writing, which is always uplifting, motivating, and sometimes rattling. He makes me think and he makes me laugh. My heart is always impacted.Liberty University is dedicated and excited to help you explore your passions by providing you with a quality education!
Take the first step toward a better future with an online degree program from Liberty.
I did not believe that I could be successful as a student because I struggled as an undergraduate student at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Liberty helped me to connect with God and with others who had similar beliefs. Thanks to Liberty I have gained confidence in God and his abilities to use me regardless of my age. Thank you. Not only have I learned valuable skills in the field, but I have strengthened my walk with Christ. Liberty University has sparked the fire within me and encouraged me to be a shining light in our troubled world.
Liberty University provided a terrific option for me to get specific training online in areas that my church lacked resources. On the other hand, Liberty was flexible in allowing me to work with my church and denomination to get the training I needed there. I was very pleased with my experience, and I am grateful that a place like Liberty exists to meet the needs of such a wide array of students.
Liberty helped me with my Christian walk and how to be an effective role model to all the teen girls that are watching me. The staff at Liberty was more than helpful and blessed me by working with me with helping make my dream of graduating come true. I will forever cherish my years spent at LUO.
After a lot of searching, I stumbled onto Liberty University. What originally drew me to Liberty was the fact they were so military friendly; capped their grad school tuition so that military tuition assistance covered it and it was a respectable brick and mortar school. As I progressed through my course of study, I found myself becoming more and more drawn back to my faith and re-igniting a fire in me that I had not had in a long time. I look forward to proudly calling myself a Liberty alumnus and using that fire to become a true Champion for Christ.
As an older student, I remember being anxious and concerned about reentering school. To my surprise, I found myself engaged in a fantastic curriculum supported by amazing professors and consistently challenged to offer God my best every step of the way. The challenges I experienced were not only academic but spiritual and personal.
Through encountering the material in my very first class, the Lord dealt directly with me on some personal health issues that were a long-term battle. I subsequently went on to lose over lbs, but more than that, I lost years of unhealthy behavioral patterns to represent the Lord to the best of my ability. As I near completion of my course of study, I know that I have been well prepared for my future role in the mental health field.
I recommend this program to anyone looking for a high-quality education with true biblical integration. Having attended multiple online universities, I found Liberty to be the easiest to navigate through the admissions process. The people of Liberty are the most helpful group of folks I have ever dealt with. This came in handy while trying to get through the admissions and registration process while I was in Turkey. Once I started, I found the professors, for the most part, were very understanding of military requirements and worked with me to massage the schedule around world events requiring my attention.
I love Liberty, and maybe one day I can visit my alma mater when I drop my daughter off for her first year of college. The community within Liberty Online made me feel as though I was a part of something that was greater than myself, although I was thousands of miles away. I felt connected and as though I belonged. The encouragement, the challenge, the education from a Christian perspective, the prayers, the diversity of people from different industries and different walks of life was simply astounding.
As a military wife, I have moved overseas and stateside many times, but LU has always been one of the constants in my life. I am thankful for what LU stands for and am proud to call myself a part of the family. My degree helped me tremendously in getting my present job. I have been blessed to be a part of Liberty and highly recommend Liberty Online to others. I fell in love with Liberty when I came to visit my son for a weekend. I loved how the teachers approached the students, and I especially loved how Liberty made you feel like you were part of the family.
I have been studying to be a special needs teacher, and when I started studying at Liberty, God has opened my heart even more for the children. The official provider of online tutoring and homework help to the Department of Defense. I was pleased with all of the tips and personalized information given to help my specific needs. The Office of Student Affairs at the Harvard Graduate School of Education played a significant role in reaffirming my intellectual and artistic contributions to the University.
I was unafraid to be myself because OSA saw fit to lift my voice when my confidence was but a whisper. I am grateful for OSA, and their ability to dare students to be true to themselves and the students we've been called to serve. During my year at HGSE, OSA was my go-to place for academic and emotional support — as well as candies, chocolates, warm smiles, and a sympathetic ear.
It has never failed me, whether I went there with a minor housing problem or some random thoughts on students' well-being those thoughts, by the way, would never evolve into a school-wide campaign without their encouragement and tremendous help. Big thank you to everyone at OSA: I feel so much more heard and loved as an international student because of you!
OSA was my home away from home. A place I always felt comfortable, could always find a willing ear to listen, and a little motivation to keep up with everything at school. Everyone in OSA has a heart for students, and they have the knowledge and institutional memory to help me navigate the system to accomplish my goals.
OSA is perhaps the most impactful office on campus - they are there to help you celebrate success, make sense of despair, and rebound to greater heights. As a queer, first generation, Latina, the Office of Student Affairs was an invaluable space that helped me navigate so many different areas at Harvard.
As a student, the staff at OSA gave me their ear when I felt most stressed and discouraged, but also gave me some key insights and resources to ensure my success. From giving me band aids to coaching me through my first office hours with a professor, OSA was my go-to haven. In my one year as a master's student, I was able to run my own affinity group, work on equity programming, be part of organizing a conference, develop my leadership skills, and most importantly, create life-long connections.
I love OSA!!
You can find all types of resources and information that will help you learn and grow outside of the classroom: through student activities or volunteering opportunities, OSA opens to you a golden gate to the real life where you can test and apply your educational ideal and passion. OSA staff members support you throughout the school year: I assure you will feel superbly relaxed and reenergized after picking up a piece of chocolate or gummy bear at the OSA front desk, and having a fantastic chat about anything!
